Monthly Tech Update
This month, the Japanese government announced that it has provided administrative guidance to OpenAI, the operator of ChatGPT, as they reportedly did not adequately prioritize the implementation of protocols to safeguard personal information.
Japan has also enacted a nee law to merge its health insurance cards with "My Number" digital IDs and announced plans with the US and South Korea to launch a system that will allow information about North Korean missiles to be shared in real-time.
Finally, the government has revealed guidelines to urge firms to develop defense technology and as well as warning of an increasing number of investment scams targeting users of the Line messaging app and other social media.
