Monthly Tech Update
This month, the Japanese government said it will attempt better tax collection from smartphone game providers.
Japan also formally joined the NATO cyber centre and said it is considering the creation of a new defence body for fighting cyberattacks.
Finally, the Bank of Japan confirmed it will trial digital yen with megabanks next spring and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio approved a plan for a carbon pricing system as part of efforts to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
